Frequent travelers between New York City and Boston now have a new travel option that combines the economy of flying on a commercial carrier with the convenience of charter flights. Beacon, a new subscription flight service, will begin service connecting the two cities this summer. The travel provider will also offer seasonal service to Nantucket and The Hamptons.

For a monthly subscription fee starting at $2,000, Beacon members will get open access to regularly scheduled flights operated by one of Beacon’s licensed operating partners on mid-sized executive aircraft capable of accommodating an average of four to 10 passengers. Members will use a mobile device to book flights and may hold up to four boarding passes at any one time. Concierges on location at the private air terminals used by Beacon will assist with travel plans.
