Daily

In addition to welcoming its first new theme park in 25 years, Orlando, Florida, also opens various new restaurants and eateries this year.

Moso Nori

This concept by James Beard Award finalist and Michelin-recognized Chef Henry Moso opened last November in Winter Park. The restaurant features a hand-roll bar and serves a wide variety of sake, beer, wine, sake-based cocktails and temaki.

Lorelai Wine Bar

This February marks the opening of this wine bar in the Thornton Park downtown. Expect European wines by the bottle or glass, served alongside shareable plates.

The Glass Knife

Opening this spring, The Glass Knife opens its second location in Winter Park, serving up elegant pastries, cakes, baked goods, breakfast, and lunch and brunch offerings.

Oza Izakaya

Now open near SeaWorld Orlando, this restaurant highlights a blend of the Japanese izakaya setting with omakase-style dining.

Epilogue

Located at Four Seasons Resort Orlando at Walt Disney World, this new, adults-only speakeasy officially opened last October. Open only on select nights, this unique space features library-inspired décor and offers specialty themed cocktails.

Nectar Room, Garni Café

Both of these new venues can be found within Lake Nona Wave Hotel. The Nectar Room is a cocktail lounge boasting inventive drinks and small plates, while the café is an all-day French bistro serving breakfast, brunch and dinner.

East End Market

Orlando welcomes this two-in-one concept near downtown Orlando. While Rion’s Ocean Room opened last fall, Gyukatsu Rose opens this year, offering limited seating solely devoted to guests indulging in gyukatsu, or Japanese-fried beef cutlets.

Recharge with a Hollywood-Ready Spa Day at L’Ermitage Beverly Hills

While cooler and milder weather in Los Angeles means a pleasanter travel experience (particularly for a Floridian accustomed to humid summer heat), the drier weather also often means lingering and visual effects on the skin, something I began to feel the moment I stepped off my plane in the City of Angels. Low humidity and winter weather might be great for my hair, but my skin was tired and dry and eager for some much- needed nourishment and hydration.
