As the end of 2019 approaches, it’s time to start looking forward to the 2020 cruising season. The earlier research begins, the better your chances of snagging a spot on one of these desirable itineraries.
New for 2020, Ponant cruises will embark on a 14-day journey through the islands of the Indian Ocean, stopping in La Digue in the Seychelles, Réunion, Mauritius and Madagascar. The inaugural ship will set sail April 9, 2020.
Farther east, book a room on Viking’s Southeast Asia and Hong Kong cruise, which will take place aboard the Orion ship. Cruise from Bangkok to Hong Kong as you visit ports in Ho Chi Minh and Ha Long Bay. The 15-day cruise debuts April 17, 2020.
For cold-weather cruisers, Abercrombine & Kent will offer a In Search of the Polar Bear trip. For 15 days, the ship will navigate the Arctic Ocean, including stops in the Svalbard islands of Norway as well as Iceland and Greenland. The summer dates will ensure long periods of sunlight and plentiful opportunities for photographing Arctic wildlife.
