VBT Bicycling Vacations and Country Walkers, two leaders in active vacations, announced new tours and destinations for 2023.
“We are excited to unveil our new tours for 2023, including new itineraries designed by experts to be the perfect active vacations – including tours in Mallorca for the first time in company history. We are seeing a lot of interest already in 2023 tours particularly in Europe, so now is the time to book that adventure for next summer’s vacation while there is still availability,” said Timo Shaw, president, Country Walkers and VBT Bicycling Vacations.
Some of VBT Bicycling Vacations’ new itineraries for next year include:
Balearic Islands, Mallorca and Ses Salines
During this guided tour, guests enjoy cycling in paradise along the island’s stunning Mediterranean coast, wetlands, countryside, vineyards and more. Indulge in lunch at the oldest finca on the island, witness salt-mining up close and chat with Majorcans at open-air markets.
Take a guided cycling tour through breathtaking coastal routes along Cape Cod National Seashore, sail through Chatham Harbor while looking for harbor seals and ride along the Cape Cod Rail Trail and Province Lands bike path. Participants can also explore Chatham and Provincetown and enjoy oysters and fresh seafood complemented by wines from Truro Vineyards.
The Dalmatian Coast, Korčula & Dubrovnik
This self-guided inn-to-inn itinerary lets travelers set their own pace while exploring the destination. Wander around the seaside town of Orebić, Marco Polo’s supposed birthplace of Korčula, and the medieval burg of Dubrovnik. Travelers enjoy breathtaking views while riding through island routes to hidden coves, magnificent beaches and UNESCO World Heritages sites.
New itineraries for Country Walkers include:
Enjoy the clean air of Norway’s pristine fjord lands while exploring west coast scenery, mountaintops and valleys. When you aren’t exploring by foot, your guides take you by coach, RIB boat, ferry, gondola and the Flam Railway. Travelers visit a castle with a pristine lake, enjoy the untamed beauty of Voss’s Mount Hanguren and mingle with locals at historic wooden villages.
The Scottish Highlands and Cairngorms National Park

Take a self-guided tour of the river valley of Speyside, hike Cairngorms National Park and walk the Great Glen Way to the legendary lakeside of Loch Ness. Apr 17, 2024Amansara Review
It was more than a car journey; it was a transition between worlds. At our first hotel in Siem Reap, huge coaches constantly pulled up outside the lobby to deposit or receive international tour groups; we departed in very different style, in a 1965 black Mercedes limousine once owned by King Sihanouk. The mundanities of mass tourism were left behind. We progressed through the chaotic Cambodian streets in regal comfort and soon arrived at a solid gate.
