Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts is growing its footprint around the globe with the addition of new hotels in Turkey, Mongolia, Morocco and Pakistan. The hotel company recently took over management of a 5-star landmark hotel in Karachi, its first property in Pakistan. The 407-room Mövenpick Hotel Karachi plans to renovate its two guestroom floors, restaurants and lobby later this year. Mövenpick will add to its presence in Morocco, where it already operates a property in Tangier, with the opening of new locations in Casablanca and Marrakech. The 184-room Mövenpick Hotel Casablanca offers guests a rooftop pool, a spa, three restaurants and six meeting rooms. The 374-room Mövenpick Hotel Marrakech is slated to open at the end of the year in the city’s Hivernage District with the city’s largest swimming pool. In the summer of this year, the company will introduce its fourth hotel in Turkey, the 137-room Mövenpick Hotel Istanbul Golden Horne, 10 minutes from the city’s Old Town overlooking the shores of Istanbul’s famous Golden Horn waterway. Mövenpick will continue its expansion with a new hotel in the capital of Mongolia in 2018. The Mövenpick Hotel & Residences Ulaanbaatar will include 250 guestrooms and 124 residences. Mövenpick’s portfolio currently includes 80 upscale hotels and resorts in 24 countries.
