Motto by Hilton is poised for a major expansion spanning seven properties over the next three years.
Expansion plans kicked off with a groundbreaking ceremony in the Old Fourth Ward neighborhood of Atlanta. The property will eventually become a 146-room property set to open in 2021. It joins a mixed-use development project.
Other properties coming as part of the expansion include Motto by Hilton Washington D.C. City Center, set to open in early 2020; Motto by Hilton Indianapolis Downtown, arriving in 2021; Motto by Hilton New York City Chelsea, set for 2021 and to offer 374 rooms; Motto by Hilton Brooklyn Downtown coming in 2022; Motto by Hilton Savannah Historic District opening in 2022 and offering 125 rooms; and, internationally, Motto by Hilton Lima Miraflores coming in 2022.
“Since launching Motto by Hilton last year, our expansion in the U.S. and abroad is a testament to our incredible partners, owners and the development community,” said Ian Carter, president, global development, architecture, design and construction, Hilton.

Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts plans to open a new hotel and private residences in New Orleans in late 2020. The first Four Seasons property in New Orleans is slated to open inside the World Trade Center, adjacent to Ernest N. Memorial Convention Center. The World Trade Center is currently undergoing renovations, with plans including a new podium and public spaces. The hotel plans feature four food and beverage outlets, retail space, a spa, rooftop pool and meeting and event spaces.

American Airlines now provides a passport-scanning feature on its mobile app. American Airlines is the first airline to offer a service of this kind. The passport chip-scanning feature transmits passport information to the airline, so passengers do not need a customer service agent to recheck their passports when arriving at the airport for international flights.
