French design team Patrick Gilles and Dorothée Boissier teamed up to add rich elegance to the new Mandarin Oriental, Marrakech in Morocco. Boissier’s Berber and Spanish Arabic flair and Gilles’ clean symmetry are featured, highlighted with great details that include Berber and Spanish Arabic patterns. Suites and villas reflect luxury and comfort, with heated pools, hot tubs and open air showers within private, walled gardens. Seven suites are equipped with rooftop plunge pools.

Berber touches and displays of local arts and crafts extend to each of the property’s five restaurants and bars. In the spa, inspiration for the décor was drawn from Andalusian cathedrals. Treatments, administered in rooms shaded by olive trees or in one of two private Infinity Suites with private pools and hammams, include a range of holistic therapies rooted in Moroccan traditions.
