The Ritz-Carlton announced completion of the renovation of The Ritz-Carlton Hotel de la Paix, Geneva, the luxury hotel brand’s debut in Switzerland.

Formerly known as Hotel de la Paix, Geneva, the 152-year-old hotel underwent a multimillion-dollar renovation, re-design and refurbishment, marking a new era in the story of one of Geneva’s most elegant and historic hotels.

Ideally located on the scenic shores of Lake Geneva with views of the city’s Jet d’Eau and Mont Blanc, the hotel was once the gathering place for the International Congress of Peace and the temporary guest quarters of the Monaco Royal Family and actor Orson Welles.

The hotel’s architecture seamlessly blends modern design and tradition, and its design concept centers on art, time and nature. Tapestries featuring notable figures who played a role in attaining peace line the walls; the guestrooms feature sleek, contemporary furnishings and floor-to-ceiling windows; and suites celebrate iconic past visitors, such as actress and Monaco Princess Grace Kelly.

Signature culinary experiences include a Nordic-fusion concept at Fiskebar, and regional dishes featuring fresh, local produce at Living Room Bar & Kitchen. The Philippe Pascoët chocolate shop offers authentic confections by the legendary Swiss master chocolatier.

Other guest services include meeting and conference spaces with lakeside views, a fitness center, business services and a 24-hour concierge.
