The epicenter of the entertainment world, Los Angeles, Calif., offers attractions that can’t be found anywhere else. From strolling the world-famous Hollywood Walk of Fame to cruising 75 miles of scenic coastline to exploring popular museums like LACMA and The Getty, the City of Angels boasts an impressive tourist trail with limitless opportunities to discover its wealth of business, arts and culture.

GETTING THERE
Los Angeles International Airport’s nine terminals easily connect to transit options. Most travelers rent cars; shuttles offer transport to an array of rental agencies. The FlyAway Bus, run by Los Angeles World Airports, travels from LAX to locations throughout the area including Union Station, Expo/La Brea station, Van Nuys, Westwood, Santa Monica and Hollywood; hours and fares vary. The “G” Shuttle provides free bus service to the Metro Green Line Aviation Station, and the “C” Shuttle links to the Metro Bus Center where city buses serve the L.A. area. Depending on traffic and hotel location, the commute from LAX takes 20 minutes to an hour; taxis cost around $60, and UberBLACK rides downtown cost $75. Smaller airports, such as Bob Hope Airport, also serve Los Angeles.

GETTING AROUND
There’s no doubt about it: Los Angeles is a driving city. Visitors renting cars should become familiar with interstates 405, 10 and 5 and L.A.’s notorious traffic. Allow plenty of time to transit. Public transportation includes Metro Rail, offering six lines and 80 stations across Los Angeles County, and three bus services: Metro Local, Metro Rapid and Metro Express.

9–5
The Ivy
Celebrities and Hollywood dealmakers flock to the open-air eatery to do business over fresh cuisine on a beautifully decorated patio. The Hollywood institution offers classic American, Italian and regional dishes plus the near-guaranteed chance to spot a celebrity.

The Polo Lounge
Magic deals happen over a morning cup of Joe at The Beverly Hills Hotel’s Polo Lounge, where A-list Hollywood and top L.A. executives discuss business over breakfasts like the Deal Maker, featuring three eggs any style, three silver dollar pancakes, hash browns and a choice of breakfast meat; and Pink Palace, with smoked salmon soft scramble, lemon ricotta pancakes and sliced fruits and berries.

Soho House West Hollywood
For a productive day away from the office, host a meeting at Soho House, sure to impress and inspire colleagues with state-of-the-art private spaces boasting 180-degree views of L.A.. The members-only club allows you to host meetings, dine and drink all in one place, accommodating intimate meetings and dining, large seated dinners for 120 people or cocktail receptions up to 225.

AFTER 5
Cecconi’s West Hollywood
Meet and eat at Cecconi’s, where business elite, movie stars and agents nosh on classic Italian cuisine. Handmade pasta, seafood and dishes from Northern Italy use the freshest ingredients. For a supercharged dinner with multiple guests, book the Butterfly Room, seating 40.

The Club Bar
See and be seen at The Club Bar in The Peninsula Beverly Hills, a favorite for after-hours business over fine wines by the glass and rare single malt whiskeys, scotches, tequilas and cognacs. Locals, visitors and celebrities lounge in this cozy, dark-wood watering hole’s comfortable booths while sipping on classy libations and enjoying sophisticated bar snacks like housemade taro chips.

L.A. LIVE
Surrounding the STAPLES Center and Nokia Theatre, L.A. LIVE is the premier destination for live entertainment downtown, featuring sports and music venues, movie theaters, restaurants, a bowling alley and nightclubs. The district hosts multiple events each day of the week ranging from film festivals to L.A. Clippers games to concerts.
