The website liligo.com launched the first multi-modal global travel comparison search engine functionality. The site acts as a one-stop shop for travelers to compare various modes of transportation like flights, buses and trains in one search. Users can filter by mode of transportation, departure time, duration or price, and liligo.com provides hundreds of options, allowing users to design their optimal journey without having to compare across different websites or services. The feature is useful for travelers in areas where multiple modes of transportation are available, such as across Europe. “We believe in transparency and in offering travelers choices, which is why we decided to expand our proposition to include buses and trains,” said Mario Gavira, managing director, liligo.com. “With the introduction of liligo’s multi-modal functionality, we are giving the power back to business and leisure travelers by making planning a trip more efficient.” Liligo’s search functions were previously used to view flights, hotels and car rentals and yielded more than 500,000 searches per day from hundreds of partner websites. Now, that offering is even broader. “From quick weekend getaways to family visits, finding the most convenient and affordable mode of transportation in one search can be difficult and time consuming,” said Eric Urbain, general manager, U.S., liligo.com. “Our goal is to make the process of planning a trip easier and to provide travelers with the most comprehensive search tool out there.” Liligo.com is accessible via web browser as well as Android app. They’re launching an iOS app this summer.
