LATAM welcomes Airbus A350 back into its operation schedule for the United States.
Two of its non-stop flights to Sao Paolo, Brazil (GRU), will be operated using the A350-XWB. The flight will depart from New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport Sept. 30, and from Orlando International Airport Nov. 15.
The change of the aircraft on these routes maintains the fulfillment of the carrier’s vision for sustainability. The A350 design successfully reduced the weight of the aircraft itself, allowing up to a 25 percent reduction in fuel requirements. The changes maximize operational efficiency, minimizing impacts on the environment.
LATAM offers its travelers new interior design standards, visually inspired by the colors and texture of South America along with natural tones reflecting a new balance between the region’s cultural passion and elegance. The rich Amazon wood can be found in several elements of the aircraft’s interior, while the flooring reflects the textures of fabrics and colors from the region’s landscape and boardwalk of Ipanema. Panoramic windows can be found throughout the cabin, and are 24 percent larger than a similar aircraft of the current generation.
The new aircraft offers the widest business-class seats in the carrier’s fleet, the quietest cabin among twin-aisle aircraft and full LED lighting with 16.7 million different colors for personalized ambience — aimed at reducing jet lag. The innovative technology provides the best available air quality with full circulation and renewal every two to three minutes.
LATAM welcomes travelers onboard one of the youngest and most modern fleets in the industry.
