Paddle boarding and water sports may not the be the first activities that spring to mind when contemplating a Las Vegas getaway, so it may come a surprise that Las Vegas is the site of this year’s Hennessey’s World Paddle Association World Championships. Hosted by The Westin Lake Las Vegas, just a quick hop from the Vegas Strip, the events get underway on Sept. 21. Rounding out a full slate of races and competitive events are a welcome party and Awards Dinner Party at Hennessey’s Tavern and Mickie Finnz in downtown Vegas.
Can’t make the event? Visit the Westin Lake Las Vegas some other time, and check out the new Outdoor to the Core Adventure Boutique, with fitness classes, tours, Footbike rentals, hiking excursions, zipline adventures and a wide selection of stand-up paddling equipment for sale.
