Langham opened its eighth hotel in China and 20^th worldwide last month. The Langham, Haikou is located in Hainan, in the Guamao district. The new, 14-storey property includes 249 guestrooms and suites with views of the city and South China Sea. All guest spaces are designed in light creams and gold, with a focus on commissioned artwork. Each features a Langham Blissful bed and separate rain showers. The Club Lounge offers guests complimentary breakfast, tea and cocktails, as well as a boardroom. The property’s shining jewel, however, is the Chairman Suite, which, at 356 square metres, includes two bedrooms with remarkable views of the water, a living space, dining room, kitchen and oversized Jacuzzi. The hotel offers five dining options. Atelier’s open kitchen, smoke house and oyster and Champagne bars are open all day to cater to guests’ every dining need. T’ang Court is the elegant Cantonese and Hainanese dining venue, taking after Langham’s Michelin-starred restaurant in Hong Kong by the same name. Star Bar & Restaurant is located in the sixth-floor English garden and offers casual alfresco dining. On the first floor, guests can move between the Palm Court for afternoon tea and the lobby bar, Liquary.
