Dutch carrier KLM released details of its new business-class seat for the airline’s forthcoming Boeing 787-10 Dreamliner aircraft.
KLM has eight of these planes on order and will be the first European carrier to put them into service, starting June 2019.
The airline says its new Venture seat, designed by Japanese firm Jamco, will be fitted in a fishbone configuration, allowing direct aisle access to all business-class passengers.
The fully lie-flat seat includes an 18.5-inch IFE screen, a Do Not Disturb button on the armrest and privacy partitions for middle seats. There will be 38 of the new seats on each of the carrier’s new 787-10 aircraft.
Singapore Airlines is the first worldwide customer for the 787-10, ordering 49 of the Boeing planes last month.
