Send your taste buds into the stratosphere this fall at Florida’s Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex. The visitor complex launches its Taste of Space event Sept. 30, offering guests the chance to sample Mars-inspired cocktails and meals prepared by celebrity chefs, as well as meet veteran NASA astronauts.
Through Nov. 3, each day of Taste of Space brings something new. Returning for a fourth year, Taste of Space: Fall Bites! brings a selection of special menu items featuring autumnal flavors, all of which will be available across several restaurants throughout the visitor complex. Think harvest bowls, flaky pear galette, lamb meatballs and local beer brews.

On Oct. 4, watch bartenders from local bars compete for the Marstini trophy at Taste of Space: Marstini Shake-Off. Held within Gateway: The Space Launch Complex, guests aged 21 and up can sample each Marstini and enjoy several fall dishes while mingling with veteran NASA astronaut Tony Antonelli. Attendees can also vote for their favorite cocktail creation. Tickets of the shake-off can be purchased here.
Taste of Space: Celebrity Chef Edition returns Nov. 2, featuring renowned American chefs Duff Goldman and Amanda Freitag, as well as British chef John Ashton. This event sees celebrity chefs demonstrate expert cooking techniques on stage alongside veteran astronauts Robert Cabana, Janet Kavandi and Jose Hernandez. Attendees can sample from the chef demonstration menu and hear personal stories from astronauts about eating in space and menu items they enjoyed during their flights. Tickets include two alcoholic drinks, food samplings, astronaut photo opportunities, signed commemorative gifts by the chefs and astronauts, a custom event pin, and a signature cake designed by Duff and Charm City Cakes. New this year is the family-friendly Taste of Space: Celebrity Chef Ice Cream Social, held Nov. 3. Chefs will conduct a short demo and interact with guests while creating their own ice cream sundaes.
