JetBlue plans to expand their service in Fort Lauderdale (FLL) by as much as 75 percent in the upcoming years. Most recently, passengers will see new non-stop service to New Orleans (MSY) and a growing number of flights to the Bahamas (NAS). With these additions, JetBlue operates non-stop flights to 46 destinations out of Fort Lauderdale, with more destinations to be announced in the coming months.
“JetBlue is the No. 1 airline in Fort Lauderdale not only because of our size, but also because we deliver the very best experience to our customers with our award-winning service and style,” said Marty St. George, executive vice president, commercial and planning, JetBlue. “We served more than 5 million customers in Fort Lauderdale last year and they have come to expect nothing but the best when they travel with JetBlue. With things like assigned seating, unlimited free name-brand snacks and complimentary TVs and entertainment at every seat we have truly brought humanity back to air travel in South Florida.”
As expansion continues, JetBlue will also be adding even more upgrades to its Terminal 3 location at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport. Recent upgrades include new kiosks and check-in counters, with more retail and dining outlets to come.
The non-stop flights to New Orleans will begin Sept. 29 and depart Fort Lauderdale at 7:10 a.m., arriving at 8:05 a.m. Returning flights depart New Orleans at 8:48 a.m. Beginning Aug. 1, there will be five daily non-stop flights to Nassau.

It was known as the “Kai Tak heart attack” — the thrilling, terrifying final approach into Hong Kong’s Kai Tak Airport.
