As security lines continue to cause passengers to miss flights at airports across the country, some airlines are stepping in to ease the flow of traffic. JetBlue, for example, offered an incentive for members of its frequent-flyer program: free enrollment in the TSA PreCheck program, which allows travelers to register their security clearance with TSA and bypass the standard security lines. Normally, travelers have to pay a fee of $85 and undergo an in-person interview in a distant location to enroll in the TSA PreCheck program. However, members of JetBlue´s TrueBlue loyalty program who have reached Mosaic status (having traveled more than 15,000 miles or completed 30 flight segments in one year) will be rewarded with free enrollment into the breeze-through security program. TrueBlue members who have reached Mosaic status will receive a coupon code by email that is valid for PreCheck enrollment until the end of September. The coupon replaces the enrollment fee of $85, but enrollees will still need to complete the in-person interview with TSA before receiving their Known Traveler Number to use at the airport security line.
