JetBlue announced upcoming changes to its offerings.
Starting June 1, the airline will offer service to Guatemala City (GUA) from New York City (JFK), with daily departures at 7 p.m. It also plans to expand its service to Bozeman (BZN), Montana, with new, seasonal, non-stop service from New York City and Boston (BOS), also starting in June. Daily service is also added between Nashville (BNA) and New York City.
“JetBlue’s new service to New York City is a welcome addition,” said Butch Spyridon, president and CEO, Nashville Convention & Visitors Corp. “New York has become our number three market for visitation, and the direct service gives us an opportunity to grow one of the largest and best markets in the country.”
“On behalf of the #FLYBZN Air Transportation Committee, we look forward to opening up the Boston and JFK markets for more ease of access for our business owners and tourists for easier access to our communities,” added Daryl W. Schliem, CEO, Bozeman Area Chamber of Commerce. Bozeman is centrally located between two Yellowstone National Park entrances and is a short drive from Big Sky Resort and Bridger Bowl ski areas.
JetBlue’s Airbus A320 aircraft are slated to serve all new routes.
In order to make room for the new service, JetBlue ends service to Oakland (OAK), California, effective April 29. The airline currently offers flights between Oakland and New York City, Boston and Long Beach (LGB), California. JetBlue also plans to reduce or eliminate short-haul flights to Long Beach and flights from Fort Lauderdale (FLL) and Orlando (MCO).
