JetBlue is increasing and adding new west coast service. Now, travelers can enjoy service between Long Beach (LGB) and San Jose (SJC), as well as increased service between Long Beach and Las Vegas (LAS), San Francisco (SFO) and Salt Lake City (SLC). JetBlue is the largest airline at Long Beach, offering 35 daily departures. “We want to give our customers in Long Beach even more JetBlue love by offering our award-winning service on more routes to more destinations throughout the west. Since landing in Long Beach in 2001, our customers have come to expect nothing but the best when they fly and we can’t wait to welcome them aboard these new flights,” said Dave Clark, vice president network planning, JetBlue. The new service between Long Beach and San Jose launches Jan. 4, 2017, and operates four times daily. Flights depart Long Beach at 7:00 a.m., 11:04 a.m., 4:40 p.m. and 7:48 p.m. “JetBlue has successfully serviced Mineta San Jose International Airport since 2004 with nonstop service to Boston and New York, and I am delighted to see our airline partner expand its presence in Silicon Valley by offering nonstop service to Southern California via Long Beach. JetBlue’s growth in San Jose is an indication of the continued demand by residents and businesses seeking competitive fares, convenience and a world-class travel experience,” said Sam Liccardo, mayor, San Jose. Three additional daily flights from Long Beach to Las Vegas, one additional daily flight from Long Beach to San Francisco and one additional daily flight from Long Beach to Salt Lake City begin in November. All flights utilize the Airbus A320 aircraft.
