Jet Airways is spreading its wings in Europe with the launch of non-stop flights between Mumbai and Paris. The Indian carrier will initially operate the service between Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport and Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport four times per week with Airbus A330 aircraft before boosting the route to daily from June 26. Jet Airways also recently announced an expansion of its codeshare partnership with Air France, growing its connectivity between Europe and India via Paris. Under the terms of the expanded agreement, both carriers will place their codes on each other’s flights on the Mumbai–Paris route, offering passengers a morning and evening departure and arrival at both destinations. “With the new direct flight and our recently expanded codeshare partnership, Jet Airways will now be able to offer its guests unmatched connectivity and seamless travel from India to Europe via Paris,” said Gaurang Shetty, senior vice president of commercial operations, Jet Airways. “Our codeshare agreement with Air France is another distinctive travel solution, as it will offer guests access to over 23 major cities across Europe. This is important, as Europe has been a popular destination both in terms of tourism and business for the Indian market.”
