InterContinental Hotels Group expects to open a new InterContinental property in Thailand later this year. The InterContinental Khao Yai Swan Lake Resort will act as a destination retreat within the Swan Lake development, offering seven manmade lakes and more than 50,000 trees across 100 acres.
Plans for the 61-guestroom property include a pool, gym, kids’ club and wedding chapel. The hotel will only offer 45 guestrooms upon opening, with the remainder of the rooms — all unique train car suites — opening in 2021. The 16 train car suites are repurposed heritage train cars.
The property’s setting is Khao Yai National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site a short drive from Bangkok.
