InterContinental Hotels Group announced the expansion of its global portfolio with the signing of InterContinental Tbilisi, scheduled to open in 2016 in the heart of the capital of Georgia. The property will feature 200 guestrooms and suites, an all-day dining restaurant, a lounge, a lobby bar, a spa and an indoor and outdoor pool. The hotel will cater to Tbilisi’s growing domestic and international business guests with a large multifunctional conference hall, a ballroom, multiple meeting rooms and a conference center. IHG currently operates 178 InterContinental Hotels & Resorts around the world and is on track to have 100 hotels open or in the development pipeline in Russia and the Commonwealth of Independent States by 2020.
