On Feb. 6, Iberia debuted its sixth Airbus A330, christened Miami, when it landed in its namesake Florida city that afternoon. This is the third A330 with Iberia’s new corporate logo and livery.
The aircraft also features newly designed business and economy cabins. Business-class passengers enjoy flat beds in individual pods offering more room, enhanced privacy and direct aisle access from each seat. The economy-class seats are larger and more ergonomic, with added legroom. Each cabin offers individual entertainment screens loaded with movies, TV shows, music and games. The business-class entertainment system is 15.4 inches. A WiFi connection allowing passengers to go online and text from their devices is coming soon.
Recent surveys show the redesigned cabins are a hit with passengers. Quality perception has risen 17 percent since the debut, and the number of those who would recommend Iberia to others has climbed by 31.2 percent.
Two daily flights connect Miami (MIA) and Madrid (MAD).
