Hyatt plans to expand its luxury portfolio in the Asia Pacific region with several new openings and a strong development pipeline. Its luxury portfolio presence in the region will grow by nearly 15 percent with recent openings and expected 2021 openings.
Luxury hotels opened in Asia Pacific in 2020 include Park Hyatt Auckland, overlooking Waitematā Harbour; Andaz Xiamen, with inspiration from Xiamen’s reputation as Garden on the Sea; and Park Hyatt Niseko Hanazono, the third Park Hyatt in Japan. Park Hyatt Suzhou opened in May near Jinji Lake.
Andaz Shenzhen Bay will be close to major business and leisure sites when it opens in December 2020. Also opening in late 2020 or early 2021 is Grand Hyatt Jeju, featuring 1,600 rooms and suites and poised to be the largest Grand Hyatt in Asia Pacific and second-largest in the world.
The following four hotels are also expected to open in 2021: Alila Dalit Bay in Malaysia; Alila Taihu Suzhou in China; Andaz Bali; and Park Hyatt in Jakarta.
