Following the lead of Marriott, Hilton and InterContinental Hotels Group, Hyatt announced stricter policies for cancellations.
Jan. 1 marked the start of the new policy for all Hyatt hotel guests, requiring them to give 48 hours’ notice to avoid a cancellation fee. Hyatt will keep the no-fee cancellation requirement at 24 hours for its World of Hyatt Explorist and Globalist members only. If you’re not already a World of Hyatt member as a frequent customer, now’s the time to get on board.
Last spring, Marriott began requiring 48 hours’ notice and, in the summer, Hilton extended its no-fee cancellation to 48 hours from 24 and, in several U.S. markets, to 72 hours.

Cunard recently announced a stunning refurbishment of Queen Mary 2; the ship prepares to enter dry dock on March 31, 2027, as the flagship of the Cunard fleet and the only ship in the world offering regularly scheduled trans-Atlantic crossings between Southampton and New York.
