This launch provides visitors in South Africa more choices on where to stay, especially for travelers with families. Having more options for home rentals in terms of space, privacy and independence allows travelers to feel more comfortable and better enjoy the surrounding area.
“With quality homes in prime locations, set in world-famous destinations such as Cape Town, we’re thrilled to add South Africa to the Homes & Villas by Marriott International collection and bring our deep knowledge of exceptional hospitality and world class standards to the premium home rental market in the country,” said Chris Stephenson, vice president of International Markets, Homes & Villas by Marriott International.
Some of the Homes & Villas by Marriott International properties available for summer bookings include a contemporary four-bedroom home with African beach influences and a pool overlooking Clifton Beach and The Emerald; and a two-bedroom luxury apartment with a private balcony and on-site restaurant in Hyde Park, Johannesburg. For visitors looking to Cape Town, a modern three-bedroom villa will also be available in the quiet neighborhood of Bishopscourt with uninterrupted views of the mountains.
Stephenson added, “As well as incredible contemporary African-chic styled apartments, tranquil villas with breathtaking mountain views and vibrant homes with enchanting interiors overlooking the ocean, the collection includes some beautiful city homes and apartments — giving travelers more options when exploring this stunning country.”

Having trusted property management professionals means guests have access to 24/7 guest support and can enjoy the consistent Marriott standards of design, cleanliness, safety, reliability and high-end amenities in any of the properties.
The more than 300 South African properties brought under Homes & Villas by Marriott International will, like all other properties, allow travelers to participate in the award-winning travel program, Marriott Bonvoy. This way, members booking a property can earn and redeem points for staying in home rentals.
