Hilton recently announced plans to debut the Tapestry Collection by Hilton brand in Baja California, Mexico, with two properties. Perla La Paz, Tapestry Collection by Hilton and Tropicana Los Cabos, Tapestry Collection by Hilton are slated to join Hilton’s growing portfolio in early 2024.

Perla La Paz, built in 1940, occupies a historic, 90-room building. The hotel recently underwent extensive renovations and will unveil as a Tapestry Collection by Hilton in 2024. Continuing to represent the building’s Art Deco past, guests are welcomed with a pastel pink façade, breezy outdoor terraces, warm lighting, rattan furniture and remodeled guestrooms. The hotel will also feature a full-service restaurant and lush terrace, as well as signature lounge El Mechudo, state-of-the-art gym and spa, and third-floor pool and bar.

Over in San Jose del Cabo, Tropicana Los Cabos, Tapestry Collection by Hilton, sits just 500 feet from Plaza Mijares. Also scheduled to open in early 2024, the hotel embraces Mexican colonial styles with its grand veranda, exposed dark wood beams and high ceilings. With 70 guestrooms, including two suites, the hotel integrates authentic Mexican artwork and accents throughout, capturing the spirit of San Jose del Cabo’s historic center. Other highlights of the hotel include a floor-to-ceiling glass bar within the on-site restaurant. Here, guests can dine in the open-air café, outside on the patio or on the second-level veranda.
