Hilton Worldwide announced the signing of The Resort at Mahogany Bay Village to the Curio Collection by Hilton, making it the country’s first Hilton Worldwide property, as well as the first luxury resort from a global brand in Belize. The resort is located in San Pedro, about 15 miles from the mainland and 10 minutes from San Pedro Airport. It offers 205 cottage and villa-style rooms on 60 acres also home to private residences, clubs, a spa and public spaces. Villas are constructed from local and sustainably harvested hardwoods and feature high ceilings and artsy furniture. The resort’s village will include a general store, farmers market, craft market, scuba operator, fishing operator, concierge, tour coordinator, dining options and more.
