Partners in Preservation is giving online voters a chance to save their favorite historic sites. The National Trust for Historic Preservation, American Express and National Geographic are teaming up in celebration of the National Park Service’s 100^th birthday, as well as the 10-year anniversary of Partners in Preservation. This year, Partners in Preservation, the longstanding partnership between American Express and the National Trust for Historic Preservation, will award $2 million in grants to select national parks where historic sites are in need of funding preservation efforts. To decide which parks should receive a portion of the grant money, anyone can vote for a favorite on an online voting platform hosted by National Geographic. The parks to choose from are spread across the country, with a wide array of attractions and historical sites to appeal to every traveler. Choose between the Clingmans Dome Observation Tower in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and Keys Ranch in Joshua Tree National Park. Save the Historic Ebenezer Baptist Church at the Martin Luther King Jr. National Historic Site or the Columbus Fountain on the National Mall in Washington, D.C.
