A new, adults-only, Art Deco hotel opens its doors this month in Miami. The Greystone Miami Beach was originally a historic, 1930s boutique hotel, but it recently received an upgrade from VOS Hospitality, bringing it into the modern era while retaining its beachy, boho-chic vibes.
The property offers nearly 100 guestrooms, including suites with private decks and hot tubs. The property is pet-friendly and eco-conscious, as well as tech-savvy. Guests use the hotel’s app to unlock rooms, check-in/-out, order towels, order room service or poolside service, access event listings, contact valet or concierge service and more.
“We’ve developed the Greystone to give our guests uniquely personalized attention while offering compelling concepts that create depth to the overall experience,” said James Vosotas, CEO, VOS Hospitality. “The property was purposefully designed with Miami’s local artistic community in mind and has at least one venue activated almost 24 hours a day whether it be at the rooftop pool during the day, dinner at our restaurant or late night in the basement lounge.”
The hotel offers an array of dining options. Sérêvène is the signature restaurant, serving a mix of French, Mediterranean and Japanese cuisine, with brunch, tea, dinner and late-night service. UISCE is a craft cocktail venue. KOBO is a fast-casual, Japanese sandwich spot. Golden Gator is an underground Champagne lounge, open 9 p.m.–5 a.m. The Rooftop at Greystone is a public playground with entertainment, eats and drinks.

Mar 28, 2024Cruise Lines Elevate the Onboard Fine-Dining Experience
It’s been a long time since the food on cruise ships resembled the bland, uninspired fare that gave onboard dining a bad name. These days, cruise passengers can look forward to menus created by Michelin-starred chefs made with top-quality ingredients served in stunning spaces. Choices abound as well. In addition to elegant main dining rooms, cruise ships have created a huge array of specialty restaurants that focus not only on perfectly executed traditional European and North American dishes but flavors and experiences from around the globe as well. In fact, meals served aboard cruise vessels have gotten so good, they’re drawing passengers onto ships: According to a recent report by luxury travel planning network Virtuoso, advisors report after Europe (specifically Italy and France), the No. 2 dining destination for travelers is aboard an ocean or river cruise. “This shows how cruise lines have really stepped up their culinary game, with consulting chefs and new restaurants and making that a focal point,” said Misty Belles, vice president, Global Public Relations, Virtuoso.
