Flexjet Caters To Long-Haul Private Flyers

Apr 2, 2016
Daily

Private jet provider Flexjet is now offering a new and exciting flexible lease program allowing travelers to book large-cabin aircraft for long-haul international flights, with an hourly rate structure that decreases the longer the flight. The new Global Access program is available to both current and new clients. Participation does not require buying a share of a private jet, as many similar programs do, and instead, travelers will have full access to the entirety of FlexJet’s large-cabin fleet, with the most suitable aircraft chosen for each trip.

“We began offering Global Access on a test basis in early 2015, and have been carefully refining it since then based on the response of fractional owners and corporate flight departments. As we publicly launch Global Access, the program is primed to serve a segment of the private jet travel market that needs a flexible means of accessing large-cabin aircraft for nonstop international travel,” said Michael Silvestro, CEO, Flexjet.

“Global Access will open up the world to our current fractional owners as well as corporate flight departments that have a need for large-cabin aircraft with international range, but not enough to justify whole aircraft ownership. Global Access makes large-cabin international private jet travel more accessible than ever before, and, with responsive pricing, we return to travelers the savings from flying long distances in more cost-effective cruising mode, something no other company does,” he added.

Participants will be able to choose from a variety of current and upcoming aircraft in the Flexjet fleet, including the Bombardier Global Express, Gulfstream G450, Gulfstream G650, Gulfstream G500 and Aerion AS2.

High-Spirited Hong Kong: The Dynamic Hub Embraces Its Maritime History and Culture

It was known as the “Kai Tak heart attack” — the thrilling, terrifying final approach into Hong Kong’s Kai Tak Airport. Airliners were required to bank sharply at the last moment, dodging hills and apartment blocks to line up with a runway jutting out into Kowloon Bay. The airport is long gone, but international visitors are arriving at Kai Tak again, albeit more sedately. Their cruise ships dock smoothly at Kai Tak Cruise Terminal, a modern gateway designed by Sir Norman Foster.

The Art of Balance in Seoul: Beyond the Boardroom

The value of a destination is no longer defined solely by infrastructure, efficiency or scale. Increasingly, it is measured by a city’s ability to balance productivity with well-being — creating opportunities for focus, restoration and more meaningful connections.
