Fiji Airways and Alaska Airlines expand their current partnership with a codeshare agreement on select flights from San Francisco (SFO).
The agreement enables Fiji Airways to place its FJ code on Alaska Airlines flights from San Francisco to Seattle (SEA) and Portland (PDX), offering Fiji customers easy connections to these cities, and vice versa for Alaska customers.
Both airlines have an existing frequent-flyer partnership, allowing members of Alaska Airlines’ Mileage Plan to earn and redeem miles for travel on FJ-coded flights.
“Our expanded partnership offers guests on our SFO services excellent connections to both cities with a significant population of residents with Fijian roots. We will now also be able to attract Seattle and Portland residents to our home — Fiji — which is one of the world’s most sought-after tourist destinations, as well as the South Pacific,” said Andre Viljoen, managing director and CEO, Fiji Airways.
Fiji Airways operates directly from Nadi (NAN) to San Francisco on Thursday and Sunday, year-round. It also flies daily between Nadi and Los Angeles (LAX), and three times per week between Nadi and Honolulu (HNL).
