At Hacienda AltaGracia, Auberge Resorts Collection, guests can uncover the secrets to a longer, happier and healthier life in the heart of Costa Rica with its new Blue Zone Immersion series. The three-month series runs from May 9 to July 31 and invites guests to explore individual pillars of the Blue Zone philosophy through workshops, local visiting masters and immersive programs. With each month comes a different theme, letting travelers pick which experience works best for them.

In May, the theme is Movement. Guests can participate in experiences such as new movement classes to promote vitality, a spinal articulation series, fascia expansion and water meditation. Local visiting masters bring the world’s best wellness practitioners to share their passionate approach to whole-body wellness. Lastly, participate in grounding experiences in the Costa Rican cloud forest, an experience to help emphasize the healing powers of nature through mindful hiking or tree climbing.

June brings Community. Expect breathwork classes to help reset the mind and connect with oneself and others more fully. Engage in communal dining experiences at the resort’s five restaurants while forming a meaningful connection with food as a unifying concept. Learn from a visiting masters series that promotes connection with Costa Rica’s indigenous tribe, the Boruca, through workshops such as weaving and mask making.

July offers a focus on Nutrition. Guests participate in informative sessions on indigenous Costa Rican ingredients that support the natural biome of gut health with a focus on seasonal ingredients. Enjoy plant-focused menus at El Cultivo, AltaGracia’s working garden that uses sustainable, seasonal ingredients through close relationships with local vendors. Wine will be served daily at 5 p.m., allowing guests to gather around the fire and enjoy conversation while the sun sets. And, lastly, partake in an evergreen Blue Zone experience blending the practices of the Nicoyan region, focusing on the pillar of purpose, the Costa Rican Blue Zones are known for.
