Indulge in high-quality cuisine within a lavish setting at New York City’s newest restaurant, Nikutei Futago. This upscale A5 Wagyu-tasting restaurant embodies a speakeasy atmosphere, where guests must ring a secret bell to meet the Nikutei Futago host.
Upon entering the restaurant, guests enjoy a seasonal, multicourse tasting menu with the optional sake pairing to balance out all of the savory courses. Lasting 2.5–three hours, guests embark on a dining journey.
Menu items include Dashi Dare Yaki, Niku Bako, Kanmi and more; however, the star of the restaurant is none other than the premium cuts of authentic Japanese A5 Wagyu. Each staff member of Nikutei Futago boasts extensive knowledge of Wagyu, knowing how to handle, cut and present the beef to create the best experience for guests. Dishes also come with hand-crafted sauces and small dishes made with locally sourced ingredients.
On every table, submerged, ventilated grills set the stage for the engaging and entertaining meal. These grills quickly sear the beef to an ideal temperature to maximize texture and flavors.
Guests feel as if they are a part of every step of the dining experience, not only enjoying the food but also the calm atmosphere. The interior of Nikutei Futago serves to provide an escape from the busy city, offering serenity through private spaces featuring Shoji (sliding doors) and semi-private Noren linen curtains, as well as a lush, Zen garden available only for guests.

The mundanities of mass tourism were left behind. We progressed through the chaotic Cambodian streets in regal comfort and soon arrived at a solid gate.
