Day 1

Located a short walk from the centre of Milan, the Grand Visconti Palace encapsulates the best of Milanese hospitality. The hotel is a perfect mix of tradition and modernity and combines the culture of welcome of an historic grand hotel with the convenience of modern technology for hosting events. The hotel is near Porta Romana, the historic gate to Milan, and is the only hotel in the city featuring a winter garden and 2,500-square meter park.

Day 2

This daytour involves a suggested list and order of sites, and transfers between. Due to the frequent running of transfers, guests are welcome to spend a little more time at the sites which interest them the most. Start with San Siro Stadium, the temple of football, which hosts the museum of the two Milanese football teams. Now reputed to be one of the most astounding sports buildings in the world, it holds a capacity of 85,000 people. Visit the stadium’s museum and site and you will have the possibility to see the trophies of the victories of A.C. Milan and F.C. Inter football clubs. The tour continues in order to let you discover Casa Milan: the new home of AC Milan. In this brand new building don’t miss out the opportunity to visit the museum, take advantage to shop in the store and enjoy a meal in the brand new restaurant: Cucina Milanello!

Day 3

From the meeting point you will depart on a 1.5 hour walking tour of Milan. You will wander past the Teatro alla Scala and through Galleria Vittorio Emanuele a 19th century glass vaulted shopping arcade, and your guide will give you various glimpses into Milan’s history. You will also enjoy a tour of Duomo, one of the world’s largest and most striking Gothic Cathedrals. A bus will then take you on a panoramic tour of Arco della Pace, Cadorna, Churches of Santa Maria delle Grazie and Sant’Ambrogio, Corso Venezia, Piazza San Babila and Piazza Fontana. The bus will trasfer you to Santa Maria delle Grazie Basillica, which is a wonderful site to walk through and is also home to Da Vinci’s painting ‘The Last Supper’. It can be quite difficult to obtain tickets to see this work of art, with this tour provides you with both a guaranteed ticket and line skip to enjoy the painting.

Day 4

La Scala Theatre is recognised as one of the leading opera theatres in the world. It hosts a Museum that houses a rich collection of costumes and musical instruments as well as a gallery of portraits and busts dedicated to the great musicians of the history as Giuseppe Verdi and Arturo Toscanini. A specialized guide will lead you to discover the museum rooms, with curiosities and anecdotes about great artists who performed on this important stage. You will also dive into the magic of theatre facing from the boxes to admire the beautiful room with the valuable crystal chandelier and the stage. With a little luck you might see the artists rehearsal from the boxes of the theatre!

Accor Unveils Its First Handwritten Collection Brand in the United States
