Taipei-based EVA Air welcomed the New Year with the unveiling of several new upgrades and perks to its aircraft and service.
A creative new in-flight safety video rolled out on all flights worldwide, showcasing modern dance, state-of-the-art 3D and motion-capture technology for a new twist on the traditional safety video.
The carrier also underwent a name change for its premium-economy product. Previously known as Elite Class, it’s now simply called Premium Economy. It also initiated updates to its cabins and onboard offerings, including a new menu and wine list in partnership with JL DESIGN; designer amenity kits created by London-based designer label APUJAN; and new tasty treats by SEASON Cuisine Pâtissiartism.
These upgrades follow the unveiling of all-new staff uniforms in late summer during the celebration of the retirement of the airline’s last Boeing 747 passenger jet.
The carrier also made headlines lately for its coveted ranking among AirlineRatings.com’s World’s Safest Airlines. The carrier received recognition for its high safety standards and focus on maintenance, repair, upkeep, employee training and service.
EVA is one of only 10 airlines worldwide to earn SKYTRAX’s 5-star rating for the highest global quality.
