Etihad Airways plans to fly new Airbus A380 aircraft to London (LHR), New York (JFK), Melbourne (MEL) and Sydney (SYD) when the carrier begins to take delivery of the A380 in late 2014. Etihad has 10 of the superjumbo jets on order, each featuring a three-class layout of first, business and economy. According to James Hogan, president and CEO, Etihad, at a press conference in Abu Dhabi, the airline will also begin to take delivery of its first Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft in the fourth quarter of this year. Etihad has 40 Boeing 787-9s on order and additional 787-10s, which will feature two-class and three-class configurations.
