Etihad Airways will increase its service between Abu Dhabi (AUH) and Kathmandu (KTM) from seven flights a week to double daily Nov. 1. The new services will be operated with Airbus A320 aircraft. “The addition of the new flights will further strengthen commercial and cultural ties between Nepal and the U.A.E. and will lead to continued strong growth in traffic flows between Kathmandu, Abu Dhabi and beyond to many key destinations across our global network,” said Kevin Knight, chief strategy and planning officer of Etihad. Since flights launched in 2007, Etihad has carried more than 620,000 passengers on this route. From its hub at Abu Dhabi International Airport, Etihad serves 94 passenger and cargo destinations.
