Emirates offers a new non-stop service between Newark (EWR) and Dubai (DXB) starting June 1. Currently, the only similar route Emirates offers is the daily service between Newark and Dubai, which includes a stop in Athens.
The new service features an Emirates Boeing 777-300ER, with eight suites in first class, 42 seats in business and 306 in economy. Flights depart Dubai at 3 a.m., arriving in Newark at 9 a.m. Return flights depart Newark at 11:50 a.m. and arrive in Dubai at 8:20 a.m. the following day.
Additional changes to Emirates’ U.S. service include a reduction in flights between Dubai and New York (JFK), to three daily flights from March 25. The three daily flights include two non-stop flights and one flight with a layover in Milan.
From March 25, Emirates plans to add two flights a week each to Fort Lauderdale (FLL) and Orlando (MCO).
Airfare for the new routes is on sale currently. To celebrate the launch of the second daily flight from Newark, sale prices are in effect, with fares from Newark starting at $849 to Dubai in economy class, and $3,999 to Mumbai (BOM) in business class.
Fares are subject to availability and the sale concludes tomorrow, Jan. 31. The sale prices are good for travel through Dec. 2.
