Emirates opened a new lounge inside Rome Fiumicino Airport, on level 2 in Terminal 3, near gates E22–E24. The new space replaces the carrier’s former airport lounge, located after passport control within the airside transit area.
Emirates said the new 950-square-meter lounge “is now located in a more convenient area of the airport terminal,” and allows passengers to board directly onto the plane from its facility.
The lounge includes seats for 162 people with views over the runway. There’s formal and more relaxed seating options, a dining area, a prayer room, shower facilities, a business center and a hot and cold buffet.
The lounge is available to Emirates first- and business-class customers, plus Skywards Platinum and Gold members. Silver and Blue members can pay to enter.
“The new lounge represents an investment of over $4.5 million by Emirates and is an integral part of our focus to provide our premium and loyal customers with the highest levels of comfort and convenience, not just in the air, but also on the ground,” said Mohammed Mattar, divisional senior vice president, airport services, Emirates.
“The new Rome airport lounge brings to 42 the number of Emirates’ lounges, making it one of the largest airline networks of lounges across the world, and we’ll continue to open new ones and refurbish others.”
