From March 5–July 10, the Bendigo Art Gallery in Melbourne, Australia, will play host to Marilyn Monroe. Staged in partnership with Twentieth Century Fox, the comprehensive Marilyn Monroe retrospective includes fascinating movie artifacts, clothing and the private belongings of one of Hollywood’s most enduringly iconic film stars, with many of the items on loan from private collections. Rounding out the exhibition are film posters, wardrobe test photographs, studio portraits and the 12 films Monroe completed with Twentieth Century Fox.
Also coming in March: The annual Melbourne Food and Wine Festival kicks off on March 4, and continues through March 13. This year’s events include the Angry Ant Gin Launch, Melbourne Meets Barcelona Dinner, Blues Tram & Underground Banquet, the Victorian Shiraz Challenge, Napoli Carnevale Wine Dinner, From Addis to Paris and the Bank of Melbourne World’s Longest Lunch. Master classes, parties, live entertainment, tastings, boardroom sessions and special food and wine-themed events are also on the menu, including International Chef Dinners and the River Graze weekend culinary adventure along the Yarra River.
