Montana’s Triple Creek Ranch is calling all adventurous women to celebrate cowgirl culture and discover their inner Annie Oakley with two experiences this year in the Bitterroot Range of the Rocky Mountains. The annual women-only events, the Women’s Rocky Mountain Rendezvous and Klicks for Chicks, focus on horseback riding along some of the most scenic trails in the region in May and October, respectively.

Triple Creek Ranch owner Barbara Barrett — a trained U.S. astronaut, former ambassador to Finland and passionate horsewoman — hosts both getaways. After enjoying a day of horseback riding, cattle work, archery and trap shooting, guests enjoy the luxurious comforts of the adults-only Triple Creek Ranch and group dinners featuring the cuisine of Chef Jacob Leatherman and wines selected by Sommelier Jeremy White from a cellar that has won 10 Wine Spectator Awards.

Taking place May 7–12, the Women’s Rocky Mountain Rendezvous includes outdoor activities such as horseback riding, fly-fishing, scenic hikes to hot springs, lavish picnics on the trail and a gemstone jewelry trunk show.

Klicks for Chicks is annual all-women ride held Oct. 13–18 to benefit the non-profit Summit for Parkinson’s. After daily rides through the Montana wilderness over mountain passes, past crystal clear lakes and through pristine meadows, riders return to the ranch in late afternoon to enjoy cocktails, gourmet food and luxury cabins. Triple Creek Ranch donates $1 for every “klick” (kilometer) a cowgirl rides over the course of the event to Summit for Parkinson’s.

Cabins for both experiences start from $950 per night, including luxurious accommodations, snacks, breakfast, lunch, gourmet dinners, house wines and spirits and all featured on-ranch activities.
