Expecting 7.7 million travelers Nov. 21–Jan. 2, 2018, an increase of 3.2 percent over the same period last year, Dallas Fort Worth International Airport welcomes guests with extra holiday cheer.
“DFW is a big part of the holiday travel experience for customers, whether they’re leaving Texas and heading around the world, or being reunited with family and friends in Dallas Fort Worth. Whether it’s decorations, entertainment or friendly assistance from a member of our team, we want to be the reason people smile when they come through DFW over the holidays,” said Ken Buchanan, executive vice president of revenue management, DFW.
Through the holiday season, travelers find extensive holiday decorations in Terminals A–D, including a 37-foot Christmas tree decorated and lit near gate D30. Santa’s Workshop is located at both A13 and D36, Dec. 8–Jan. 2, 2018, featuring singers, dancers, entertainers and concessionaires, with surprise entertainment and giveaways each day.
Beyond the holiday season, new amenities include a 24-hour cell phone lot, where visitors can park for up to two hours, with 53 parking spaces, ample lighting and an emergency blue light phone. New dining and shopping options are available in all five terminals, including Bubble Zones by Coca-Cola, Eddie Bauer, IHOP Express, Southwest News, Caribou Coffee, Einstein Bros. Bagels and Code 3 Urgent Care and Pharmacy.
