Crowne Plaza Hotels & Resorts announced the opening of six new flagship properties in the United States, Europe and China. The properties are intended to represent the brand’s new hallmark design innovations and standards.
The new Crowne Plaza Atlanta Perimeter at Ravinia reopened in April 2019 and all are expected to be completed by early 2020. Other flagship properties are slated for Paris, Hamburg, London, Shenzhen and Wuzhen.
“From city center business hubs to best-in-class airport hotels, Crowne Plaza is revolutionizing business and leisure travel with incredible momentum. These openings are a significant step toward our goal to be the first and definitive choice for upscale hotel stays around the world,” said Eric Lent, senior vice president, global marketing, upscale brands, InterContinental Hotels Group.
The Crowne Plaza Paris République is the first new flagship property scheduled to open in Europe; design is currently being finalized. Crowne Plaza Hamburg — City Alster is due to open in October. Crowne Plaza London — Heathrow opens in early 2020. Crowne Plaza Shenzhen WECC, opening soon, is located next to Shenzhen World Exhibition & Convention Centre, the largest convention center in the world. Crowne Plaza Wuzhen offers a convenient location near the World Internet Conference Center and Hangzhou International Airport.
