It’s almost opening time! The long-awaited Chaplin’s World will welcome guests beginning this spring in Le Manior de Ban, a mansion on the shores of Lake Geneva that was once the private family home of Charlie Chaplin, in Switzerland. Three of Chaplin’s children were instrumental in the museum’s development.

The museum itself is part interpretive center, part theme park, and combines high-tech features with ever-changing permanent and temporary exhibits, cultural programs, an art gallery, personal artifacts, multimedia presentations, festivals and cinematic presentations. Other features include the Limelight restaurant and Little Tramp Boutique. A vast surrounding natural park, part of the mansion’s grounds, contains gardens, pedestrian paths, cycling trails and areas suitable for festivals and celebrations.
