Carnival Magic will begin sailing from Port Canaveral, Fla., in April, switching from its current port of Galveston, Texas. In preparation for the change, the cruise liner will undergo a multimillion-dollar renovation, adding a variety of new dining options.
New restaurants and bars will include Guy’s Burger Joint, a poolside eatery from Food Network’s Guy Fieri; RedFrog Rum Bar, a new Caribbean poolside bar; BlueIguana Tequila Bar, another poolside bar with a Mexican theme; Pizzeria del Capitano, offering five types of artisanal pizza 24/7; and Alchemy Bar, a vintage cocktail bar for a unique, one-of-a-kind experience.
“Carnival Magic is already a groundbreaking ship — it was the first to feature our popular Cucina del Capitano Italian restaurant, the Caribbean-themed RedFrog Pub and SportSquare outdoor recreation facility — and with these new features we’re making this spectacular floating resort even better. Following this extensive refurbishment, Carnival Magic will offer even more exciting on-board choices for travel agents to market to their clients,” said Christine Duffy, president, Carnival Cruise Line.
