British Airways recently revealed new refurbishments to its first-class lounge at Heathrow Terminal 5, bringing new luxury to first-class customers and Gold Executive Club members. Changes travelers can expect include new furnishings, carpeting, wood flooring and added power outlets in more convenient spots.

“Our First customers and Gold Executive Club members are used to the very best service and surroundings, both in the air and on the ground. The refurbishment of our First lounge at Terminal 5 will ensure they can continue to enjoy fine cuisine, outstanding wines and Champagnes and relax in comfort before flying in style to destinations around the world,” said Troy Warfield, director of customer experience, British Airways.

The first-class lounge features The Gold Bar, where guests can help themselves to wine, Champagne and spirits under a Swarovski crystal chandelier. The additional Champagne Bar also serves up some of the best Champagnes in the world. The self-service dining area offers both hot and cold food, as well as non-alcoholic beverages. For those looking to catch up on a little work, the lounge provides PCs and high-speed WiFi, both for free.
