British Airways planned a multimillion pound investment in its short-haul, business-class dining.

As of mid-September, the cabin features new menus with improved recipes and signature warm breads. Dishes are created with regionally sourced ingredients, such as Herefordshire roast beef, British-reared pork sausage and British cheese. On longer short-haul routes, passengers receive three entree choices. Menus on flights to and from Heathrow (LHR) change twice monthly.

“We’ve been investing in our meals for customers — our new long-haul Club World menus are proving incredibly popular and we want to be able to replicate that quality and choice in our short-haul Club Europe cabin too,” said Carolina Martinoli, director of brand and customer experience, British Airways. “Many of our fliers travel regularly so we think they’ll appreciate more variety and great quality ingredients. Our focus on provenance will also deliver seasonal dishes from around the British Isles.”

The beverage experience is also enhanced, including new wines and British specialty coffees.

Short-haul economy customers also received a new fall menu.
