British Airways announced its newest service between Broward County’s Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport and London Gatwick, beginning July 6, 2017. With the new service, the airline will offer more direct seats to London than any other airline, as the carrier operates from three other Florida cities — Miami (MIA), Tampa (TPA) and Orlando (MCO). The expansion ensures Floridians will have increased choice of service, airport and flight times to meet any of their travel needs.

The route will launch economy-class fares starting at $715 round-trip and will be operated by a Boeing 777-200 aircraft three days a week, and four per week during peak summer travel. The aircraft features 275 seats across three cabins: 48 in business class, 24 in premium economy and 203 in economy. The cabins have stylish interiors with individual on-demand entertainment systems. The airline will provide free meals, snacks and beverages, including a full-service bar. Customers will benefit from a generous baggage allowance.

BA2169 will depart from Gatwick at 9:25 a.m. and arrive at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport at 1:45 p.m. while the BA2168 will leave Fort Lauderdale at 5:00 p.m., arriving into Gatwick the next day at 6:30 a.m.
