Today I had the privilege of visiting the newly opened WestHouse Hotel New York. The property is in an ideal location on 55th Street between Broadway and Seventh Avenue. WestHouse offers business and leisure travelers a new concept modeled after the private club experience.
The intimate space features 172 guestrooms, including 16 suites, with an Art Deco style. Guests are offered an amenity special for an additional $30 per person per night. The special includes a breakfast presentation, afternoon tea, hors d’oeuvres, a coffee selection and alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages as well as free WiFi and access to the business center. In June, WestHouse will open The Terrace, its 23rd floor lounge with floor-to-ceiling windows, no doubt offering some beautiful views of New York City.
For those of us who have been spoiled by the privileges of a club level floor at bigger properties but appreciate the personality of a boutique hotel, this is a must visit on your next trip to New York.
